An unscalable ‘brick wall’ that had blocked my family history journey for over
20 years was finally demolished in the most surprising of ways!
It is all thanks to the author of a message that was posted online in 2007 which I found 4 years later!
This was great news and is a wonderful story to boot!

My interest in the history of the Slade family started about 30+ years ago. I’ve always loved listening to tales of bygone days, from my Mum & Dad, & my Aunties, Stella and Vi, so I thought it would be fun to document the information gathered, and to create a website that family members can visit. Whether it’s just to read about the latest family history discovery, to add a comment, or, whether you want to add your own story, memory or recollection. That’s the reason the site is here, for anyone with a shared interest to contribute towards.
